Kestrel predicts a colourful future for cladding

Leading PVC-U and PVC-UE building products manufacturer Kestrel has extended the colour range of its cladding products once more, in direct response to customer demand.

The roofline and cladding specialist has added a new shade of grey to its 100mm open V and 150mm shiplap range.

The RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey colour had its inaugural fixing on a house in Norfolk.

The team at Kestrel stockist Plastic Building Supplies of Norwich were given the challenge of supplying grey cladding for a project in Castle Acre.

Kestrel business development manager for the south Steve Bowden said: “The homeowners needed a replacement for their existing warped and cracking vertical cladding and it needed to be finished in a specific grey.

“Kestrel has a culture of technical innovation and we like to do all we can to support our stockists and their customers, so we accepted the challenge to come up with the perfect shade of grey.”

The end result was so good that the colour will now sit alongside Rosewood, Black Grain, Wood Grain, Irish Oak, Sherwood Grain and Mahogany, to form part of the main Kestrel cladding range.

Kestrel frequently reviews its range of finishes to help specifiers, installers and distributors meet the changing needs of the market.

Steve Bowden added: “There can be little question that coloured products are in more demand than ever by specifiers, building companies and installers.

“At Kestrel we work hard to meet the requests of our customers and so we are constantly looking at how our range of colours can best meet their needs.”

The cladding range can be viewed on the newly redesigned Kestrel website, which includes the brand’s widest ever collection of products and information: http://www.kbp.co.uk/products/cladding/textured-cladding
