Social housing project gets modern look with Kestrel

A housing project in the Midlands has been given a modern look with black grain uPVC fascia boards and soffits from Kestrel.

The social housing development in Walsall, by Accord Group, comprised 40 new homes in phase one with another 48 now being built as part of phase two.

The Kestrel K16 uPVC fascia board range and the black grain uPVC soffits were specified for the build, to complete the strikingly modern design of the homes.

Keith Hart, Kestrel business development manager for the south coast explained that black grain was becoming a popular choice both for design and practical reasons.

He said: “We are experiencing increased demand for black grain fascia boards and soffits, which are a popular choice for modern developments like this one in Walsall.

“Along with giving a modern look to the new build homes, the material and colour is very practical as it means low maintenance and upkeep, which is a key consideration for many developments.”

The K16 fascia boards, which were supplied by SIG in Birmingham, are also available in brilliant or standard white, mahogany, Sherwood, rosewood, cream grain, Irish oak and foiled, anthracite grey.

The soffits also come in a wide range of finishes and colours to coordinate with the fascia range.

Keith added that the range of colours and finishes had evolved in response to customer demand.

“At Kestrel we are constantly developing our product range and launching innovative new products to meet the changing needs of our customers,” he said.

“Many of our products have been developed to help customers match roofline and fascia products to the changing styles of the fenestration industry and building design generally.”

Kestrel’s range includes more than 800 uPVC cladding, soffit, fascia and window-line products.

Its range comes with guarantees from 10 years on grain products through to an extended 35-year non-diminishing guarantee on white profiles when fitted by a Kestrel registered installer.

Kestrel holds certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BES 6001.
