Kestrel - 23rd April 2010
Kestrel, the leading manufacturer of no lead, no tin, 100% calcium organic PVC-UE and PVC-U building products, has announced the launch of its CPD online. The presentation entitled 'Design and sustainability considerations of next generation PVC-UE' has already received a lot of interest.
Tony Crutcher, Sales and Marketing Director of the Kestrel brand explains: "In a world that is focused on sustainability, every building material has pros and cons, but there are often misconceptions about the use of PVC-UE in place of timber. Our CPD puts the record straight by giving an overview of all materials and their pros and cons. Other materials have traditionally done a good job in communicating to architects, and Kestrel is now taking up the mantle for PVC. We're already the market leader in trade, public sector and new build markets but our CPD aims to open honest dialogue with architects so they know the facts about the materials they are specifying.
"We've had a CPD offering for some time now but due to the interest it's received, and the undeniable move to more online activity, we decided to put it online as well. Often specified for its maintenance free qualities and excellent aesthetics, PVC-UE cladding has all the relevant quality standards and with Kestrel's products the end user can also benefit from the 100% calcium organic stabilisers used in the skin and core of the product."
