Kestrel distributor Europlas opens Shropshire trade counter

A new UPVC building products distributor is hoping Kestrel will help its ambitious plans take flight as it launches its latest trade counter.

Europlas UPVC opened a new outlet in the Shropshire town of Oswestry this autumn, stocking plastic roofline, windows, doors and guttering.

When it came to choosing a UPVC roofline and cladding brand, director Simon Lomax was convinced Kestrel would be the right choice.

Having run 10 trade counters in the past, Simon explained that it was the reliability and brand recognition of Kestrel that convinced him to stock the roofline products.

“Kestrel is an established brand that’s well known among installers,” he said. “I’ve had 10 years experience of Kestrel products through my previous company and the range and reliability were just what we are looking for.”

Oswestry will be the second outlet for Europlas UPVC, which opened its first trade counter in Buckley, North Wales in 2015. It has ambitious plans to open more across Wales and the borders in the near future.

Europlas PVCU Ltd is a company within the Rooms and Views Manufacturing Group, which manufactures the Liniar Window System, and installs predominantly into the Commercial New Build Sector, from both their state of the art factories in Buckley & Tredegar

Simon explained that the company had spotted a gap in the market for trade counters to supply installers and builders across the region.

“We could see the potential for trade counters across the Welsh borders and expected the fenestration products to go well,” he said.

“In fact, roofline has been a larger part of the business that we initially predicted.

“The focus on quality products has served us well so far and Kestrel is very much part of that offering.”

Europlas is supplying Kestrel’s full range of UPVC roofline, fascias, soffits and cladding products.

Kirk Maxwell of Kestrel said: “Having seen strong trade at Europlas UPVC’s first outlet in Buckley, we have no doubt that the Halloween opening will prove to be a good omen for the Oswestry branch.

“This is an experienced team, with a good knowledge of the market and solid plans for growth across the Welsh borders and we are delighted to be part of Europlas’ offering to customers.”
